Amy Joy Triola

Business Manager

For over ten years, Amy Joy has taught writing at The University of Akron and Stark State College. She is the author of four novels and a children’s book; founder of The Indie Writer’s Network, an international social network for writers; and co-owner of Tenterhook Books publishing house. In her free time she can be found hiking the Cuyahoga Valley or sketching cartoons. She delights in comics and comicons and looks forward to applying this lively convention format to bring together fellow authors and enthusiasts of a variety of interests.

Christian Triola

Creative Director

With a Master’s Degree in English Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (Jazz Guitar), Christian Triola is the co-founder of the Indie Writer’s Network, an international community of independent writers; teaches college writing; and he has offered private guitar instruction for nearly 20 years. Under the pen name CN James, he is the author of four novels, and under his own name he has published one guitar method book and has another on the way. He enjoys jazz; alternative rock; hiking and biking the national parks with his wife, Amy Joy; and experiencing stories with monsters in them. Christian is the brother of our Director of Communications, Marie Batteiger.
